Kaldi Terms

Last updated 31 October 2026

Kaldi is a coffee cellar and espresso dial-in app made by Calin Capitanu. By using it you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

Your account

You sign in with Apple, Google or an email code. Keep access to that sign-in safe; you're responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete your account at any time from Palette → Settings → Delete account.

Your content

The coffees, photos, reviews and brews you add stay yours. You give Kaldi permission to store and process them to run the app, including sending bag photos and brew history to an AI service as described in the privacy policy. Public details of a coffee you scan (name, roaster, origin, process, roaster's notes) may be added to the shared coffee library.

Only upload photos you're allowed to use, and don't use Kaldi for anything illegal or to disrupt the service.

Suggestions and AI

Label reading and brewing suggestions are generated automatically and can be wrong. Check scanned details, and use your own judgement when brewing.

The service

Kaldi is free and provided as is, without warranties. Features may change, and the service may be paused or ended; if it's ever shut down I'll give notice so you can save your data where possible. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect losses or lost data. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

I may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Changes

If these terms change in a meaningful way, the app or this page will say so. Swedish law applies.
